We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make our world. -Buddha

If in fact we are the universe becoming conscious of its self; than I believe mind body medicine is a big part of this. As we see the same thing- the things that have always been right in front of us- with new eyes and develop a more holistic perspective, our world and interaction with our universe changes. Health is everything, it is about everything- because health is a balancing act between the world within us and our connection with the world around us. Mind-body medicine focuses on the interactions among the brain, mind, body, and behavior, and on the powerful ways in which emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and behavioral factors can directly affect health. It regards as fundamental an approach that respects and enhances each person’s capacity for self-knowledge and self-care, and it emphasizes techniques that are grounded in this approach.(NIH)
