sugar holic

What Jack LaLanne said years ago is still relevant today. We probably understand it more today.

In the video Jack talks about omitting foods that are high in sugar. These are also high carb foods. Foods that are void of nutrients. The alcoholic analogy is interesting and a perfect juxtaposition on the subject. As a society we just may be justifying our sugar addiction. And minimizing the harm highly processed sugar foods are doing to us. Considering health care is so expensive it only makes sense to do that thing that makes us stronger, so that we need not have to participate in the health system via illness.

High fructose corn syrup has been getting alot of attention the last few years. Sugar in all forms should be utilized in moderation. Remember our bodies are not used to high concentrations of sugar. It trashes our pancreas and messes with homeostasis. Anything we do to excess is dangerous. We can even kill ourselves drinking to much water.
